The Black Diamond Room

"Black Diamond" was built in 1889 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. Completely restored by Reading Loco Shops mid 30's. Sold to Vernon Piper in 1949. Loaned? to the National Museum of Transportation in St. Louis, MO. Oldest surviving P&R inspection engine.


The Station Rooms Are Named After Famous Eastern 20th Century Passenger Trains

Come stay in our restored 1880s railroad station. The building was beautifully constructed by the railroad gives it the space, charm and warmth of a big old country home without losing any of the magic from its railroad past.

There is easy access to all the local attractions

The Station can be booked by the room, as self contained units or as a whole for an exciting group or family reunion.

We plan to be done by the end of July, the photos are only temporary. I will update them when we finish each room.

 

All With Private Bathroom/Shower, Charmingly Furnished

All four rooms are nicely furnished rooms with Private Bathroom (shower and toilet), Color TV, air conditioning, small refrigerator, and Tea/coffee making facilities. The rooms have either 2 Double beds or 3 single beds and an extra single bed may be added upon request.
